Educational Qualification Of UPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025
A. Educational
(i) A degree in any discipline.
(ii) Having Undergone a Category-6 Dangerous Goods training course duly approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) or International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Note 1 The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
B. Experience
Total experience of 05 years as under
(i) 05 years’ experience in handling of air cargo in scheduled operations.
(1) Master’s Degree in Chemistry subject with 55 percent marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) from a recognized University/Institute.
(2) (i) Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET-Chemistry), conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET (State Level Eligibility Test) OR who are OR have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in related subject of Chemistry in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D programme prior to July 11, 2009 shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/ Bye laws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in Universities/ Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions-
a. Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode
b. The Ph.D thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners
c. An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted
d. The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal
e. The Candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conference/ seminars, sponsored/ funded/ supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.
The fulfilment of the conditions (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University Concerned.

Educational Qualifications:
Assistant Professor Positions: Candidates should have a Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET), State Level Eligibility Test (SLET), or State Eligibility Test (SET).
Dangerous Goods Inspector: Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university, along with a Dangerous Goods Training Course and 5 years of experience.
Age Limit:
The maximum age limit is 40 years as of March 27, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per UPSC rules.

General, EWS, and OBC male candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹25.
